Winter Wonderland is the ultimate funfair that everybody looks forward to when in London.
Usually it will open in December but I was so lucky that this year WW opened 18th November which in time with my arrival #jelita78goes2uk on 16th Nov.

HydePark is massive. Super huge.
Besaq dari dataran merdeka or padang merbuk or padang stadium negara sekali pon.
And it is such an awesome thing that they're able to transform part of the ground area to a huge funfair site.

There are a lot of activities here in WW.
Masuk adalah percuma.
Bila nak main je kena bayar nnt.
Ada banyak laaa games and rides and food stalls and barang-barang gedik stalls all around the sites.
Tapi ada yg perlu tickets which you ols kena usha kat website WW ok.
#jelita78traveltips kali ni is that JANGAN BELI TIKET NUTCRACKER ON ICE.
We bought that and well, menyesal laa jugak.
At least it was my first experience watching ice skating show. Was very mesmerised at first, tapi the story macam dragging plak and each scenes took soooo long to finish.
Sampaikan ada penonton tido berkali kali nak tunggu sampai habis persembahan hampir 2 jam itu.

Ok. Thats my opinion. Takde nak kutuk any performers pon coz mmg marvelous sangat lah skaters tu semua. Cuma jalan cerita tu je yg perlu sedikit kekemasan.

Fri 25112016 : Change of Guards
This is the ultimate tourist must go to see.
You will know when you get here.
Terkejut ahkak tgk crowd serious ramai ok.
Yerrr kat Hyde Park laa gak ni.. bahagian Buckingham Palace.. well luar hyde park, lintas jalan pi Green Park. Tengok je google maps tu. Jangan ko carik PakJiSung plak udah.

1- check time table online, hari apa ada event.. sebab only in summer je they change everyday. Others alternate days. Kat online siap ada time table lagi. As for me, mine was extra special sbb masa tu thanksgiving day so siap ada band pancasitara sekali. More horses and more smelly it was for me. Hahaha
2- datang awal and amik spot kat victoria memorial- kat roundabout tu. Kalau event start 11.30, pkol 10 dah kena mai ok. Sbb nanti polis tutup jalan and letak pagar and korang not allowed to cross over to the roundabout in the middle.

3- amik spot facing the pagar palace because that's where the action will be. Cuba jangan facing the sun also sbb nnt spoil semua gambar korang. Hence watch out for the sun.
4- sabar! Event start timely. Dan lama. Yeah. Start kalu 11.30 mcm hari i pegi ni, and habis 12.30. There's intermitten time every 15 mins and last guard to walk out is at 12.15. So jangan awal sgt dah nak blah. Unless u have to lah..
5- ramai manusia weii time ni so be careful if u are going in a group, coz u may lost sight of each other bila time brass band berbunyi sbb semua org (tourists) akan start kepochi excited to get view and you may get pushed..itu pasal spot tu mesti firm and steady.

Next, walk to The Household Cavalry Museum for the Horse Guards Parade.
Ni kat St. James Park. Bersambung ngn area Hyde Park tu jugak.
Kat sini lagi tenang sket sebenarnya kalau nak tengok change of guards and nak posing ngn the guards and horses yg tak bergerak tu.

So ready laaa tahan bau busuk taik kuda coz u seriously can go and touch the horse even.

Pastu jejalan laaa korang, kat sini coz Hard Rock cafe pon located here.
Please be reminded to always bawak air masak coz jalan banyak ni mmg mendahagakan.
Bawak sekali bekal nasi goreng Brahims and dok makan sini sbb banyak benches.
Tapi itu tertakluk kepada cuaca dan ketahanan gigil masing-masing, ofkoz.
And always stop by at the park maps / info board to know where u are located.
Otherwise you will just end up walking in circles.

Part 2 UKtrip : SkyGarden and Diagon Alley

MUST VISIT place in #jelita78traveltips if you plan to go to London.
Why?
Sebab it is FREE!
And you get the best view overlooking the city of London.
Yaassshh of koz laa kann #jelita78goes2uk akan #takdeduitbuatcaratakdeduit laaa bebeh.
Tapi harus book slot utk naik ok!
And the slots opens only 3 weeks before the date. Paham tak?
Meaning if korang nak pegi on 30th Dec, maka hanya pada 9th December slot for that day akan be available for booking.
Semua online ok.
That what makes it so easy.
Taaaapiiii kena book cepat cepat sebab setiap hari tu ada slot booking ikut time and giller fully booked laju nak mamps ok.
No worries sbb travel agents memang takleh book kan randomly sebab kena letak nama semua and then masa korang beratur nak masuk tu, kena bagi proof of identification!
Therefore do it yourself online and jangan terpedaya if ada travel agent nak "jual" the tix for you.
Ingat! Check the website and book your visit slot online 3 weeks before your date!
Kalu lambat nnt habih slot time yg korang nak.
Pastu doa banyak banyak supaya cuaca cerah macam ni hah boleh photoshoot posing pelbagai gaya.

You need to be there at the lobby of the SkyGarden about half an hour before your time slot. There will be queue. Make sure you print out your booking details. And then there will be security checks which you need to bukak jacket and letak dalam tray with handbag , macam airport laa depa scan you except this time you nak bawak air tu takper nya.
The guard will escort you in the lift sampai ke atas and then you can spend as long as you want sampai kedai tutup pon takpe. Yes you can!
Kat atas tu ada tempat duduk lepak and siap ada sediakan blanket if u feel cold and want to wrap yourself up while you're enjoying the view. Takleh laa bawak balik selimut tu. Pinjam je and letak balik kat kusi tu nanti ok. It is FREE by the way.

The best thing about this deck is that there are descriptions of the tourist attractions that are in view of the windows, hence takde laa you look clueless in figuring out  "eh tu bangunan apa tu?" .. "eh dekat je rupanya dengan sini "
And that leads to my next destination.

The Leaky Cauldron

This Leadenhall Market shops area was used as the Diagon Alley in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.
Hah, sila google kalau ingat-ingat lupa tu.
Or tengok je balik citer Harry Potter.. part yg kat wizard's pub.

#jelita78traveltips kali ni is that if you dah pi SkyGarden tu, terus jalan ke sini sebab this place is located dekat dengan SkyGarden tu je.. pusing-pusing tang tu jugak.. cuma kena masuk celah bangunan itu ini sikit.
Suddenly akan jumpa area bangunan dated back to the victorian era architectural.

Pastu, jalan lagi belok sini situ begitu begini, korang akan jumpa butik LV and Hermes plak. Surprise. Eh. Hahaha jangan terkejut ok. Memang banyak kedai tersorok yg best best.
Best tengok je. Nak beli kena pikir 5.8 kali..
Anyway, the key to discovering a city is that you need to have the courage to explore and Google maps!

As I walked around the London city, I discovered that celah-celah building ada trees and plenty of chairs to sit and enjoy the outdoor.
During lunch time, these places will be filled with the locals sitting and eating their packed meal.
Macam best je kan.
Cuba buat kat Malaysia ni. Adeh.
Merecikkk panaihh. Dah laa legam, tambah dengan peluh masam sekali.

Shot wajib bila di London ialah the red phone booth. But of course, amik gambar dari luar sahaja. Sebab i tak berani nak bukak pintu nya. Based on my previous experience, which bau macam hancing, so, tak koser laa kan nak jenguk dalam tu.
And also i tak sure function ke idak talipon tu. Hopefully tak macam Malaysia laaa kann semua public phone rosak dek vandalism.

So, how to stay online when in London?
I used the Lyca Mobile sim bought at £2 and top up just the data plan 1Gb for £7.50.. semua ni buat sendiri via online yer lepas beli simkad tu. Easy peasy.
I needed the data plan, since I relied on the Google Maps to make my way around town.
And whatsap calls to keep in touch with my loved ones back at home.
Tak dilupakan juga untuk menjawab whatsap berkaitan dengan hal hal pejabat. #stillworkingalthoughonvacay #sayamemangdedikasitinggi #pekerjaharapanbangsa

Personally, i feel that if u want to explore the city, just hop onto those #LondonREDbus
From the bus you can have better view of the whereabouts and if u feel like getting lost, just ask the driver to stop you at the nearest train station and take the train to wherever that you are familiar with.
No i did not beli that unlimited hop on hop off passes. But i used the oyster card yg macam touch n go, boleh top up sajer and pakai for both train and bus.
Please be reminded that oyster card ada deposit in it. So u can claim the depo and remaining balance when u hand the card back at the airports counter oyster card.

Part 1 UKtrip : Luggage and Flight

On 16th Nov, I went on my solo traveling quest to London.
Solo dalam flight je laa weii.
Kat London tu jejak kasih with my good friend Hesly.
Alhamdulillah the trip went smoothly and I am now already back at home.
If you have been following me on instagram, you may have had the chance to view my live updates on instakalut.
Thus now I am blogging to compile all my personal travel tips which i labelled with #jelita78goes2uk #jelita78traveltips.

The powder is matte finish preventing muka berkilats masa selfie. Haha. Baru laa betul gojes kan.
And the best thing is that both of them has SPF30. Hah. Settled. Takyah beriya apply UV protection cream.

Be reminded that you wajib pakai sunblock ok. Jangan kau sangka sejuk tak panas ni ko takkan jadik legam. Oh u are dead wrong lah woman. Boleh hangus ok muka tu. Tetiba tangan yg pakai gloves tu lagi cerah dari muka kau. Jangan terkejut plak ok.

And lips my dear, harus pakai lip balm. Cepat ok merekah bibir tu kalau tak pakai. It is important to have smooth lips to ensure cantik bila apply lipstick nanti. And to me, @threeorganics is my ultimate choice for lipbalm and facial moisturiser. Ensure long lasting moist skin.

My choice of in flight purse is non other than the black Sofina 3 clutch from @sometime_byasiandesigners

Several people asked me how did i managed my journey alone

So here's my flight handling tips

1. Pilih seat dekat dengan dapur. Sebab nanti senang nak mintak air dan kacang dan kacang dan kacang dan lebihan desserts. You will get the company of the stewards and stewardess sbb diorang mmg lepak kat situ pon most of the times. And boleh korang join gossip dgn depa.

2. Amik seat tepi aisle. Yer laaa i know semua org nak window seat konon nak amik pic sayap kapal kapal terbang lah haper. Tak payah drama sgt ok. Tepi aisle lagi best sbb senang nak keluar masuk. Nak amik barang kat beg atas kepala. Nak pi toilet. Nak pi eksesais kaki. Nak pi solat. Nak pi menjemah kat dapur. Semua senang. Kalu ko dok tepi tingkap and then kena blok ngn abam or sisthur sado, hah tak ke senak kau nak keluar nanti especially kalu depa tgh tdo. Haruuuu ok. Lagi cun dapat seat depan mcm ni boleh stretch kaki heidi klum tu.. #eh hehehe

3. Bawak slipar hotel yg pakai buang tu. Senang utk pakai pi toilet time nak solat nnt. Bcoz in my case ahkak pakai boot timberland kan, so, nak eksesais jari jemari kaki tu sepanjang 13hrs flight ni, mmg heaven laa bawak slipar tu.

4. Takyah pakai mascara or eye liner. Nanti kau syiok tdo and mamai gonyoh mata habih smudge gaya mata panda dan kena gelak ngn orang plak.

This time, I got my visit done right!
The attending skin analyst, Dr.Thahirah gave me the full blown on my skin condition.
Hahh, terkejut makk tengok muka sendiri.
Pocong pon lari lintang pukang kot.
I found out that my skin actually has 7 times oily rate than it shud be.
Which means i am NOT suitable to undergo the oxycryo package that gives full blown oxygen onto the skin cells, because that will make it more oily!
Of course I will enjoy the suppleness feeling of the skin texture but it will soon resulted to more oil glans.
See!
This shows how important it is to have the skin analyse properly by a real doctor so that the correct treatment can be applied.

Being Cleopatra at Hannan Medispa

It was this iG post that caught my attention last weekend.  From hannanmedispa_bangi to be exact.
Coincidentally i have taken the day off that Monday. Thus decided to go on a sister spa day with my dearest sistersewel. LOL.

It was true. All true.
Only RM99 plus 6% GST for the cleopatra treatment.
We arrived at 12.15pm and immediately were told there's available slot at 12.40 for us.
Yeayyy.
Just faith.
Let's get started!
I got Huda as my Therapist.
First she washed my face, remove the makeup and identify the whereabouts of my acne, blackheads and whiteheads thingamajig.
Next, she applied a serum and lather a thick black mask at my nose and chin - these are areas with lotsa whiteheads blackheads, and left me to sleep for 15 mins
Peeled off the black mask removing all my years of hasil ternakkan bijik-bijik kat atas idong tu.. ewww.. banyak ok! And panjang panjang plak residue tu. And she used mini vacuum to suck the remaining dead cells all over the surface of the skin.
Next comes the best part. Oxygen blow! Sejukkk weii.. slowly and thoroughly blow pure oxygen onto the skin. Tujuan ni untuk bagi tenaga makanan kepada sel sel kulit. Hah. Ada something u shud know that if u have pimples, it will bagi masak baekkk punya lepas treatment ni.
Weird that we were not given the face assessment masa sampai. Takde doctor jumpa kitorang pon. Mayb bz kot hari promo ni. Tapi Huda mmg gigih explain everything to me. Little did she know i mmg akan buat review.
Next, the radio frequency treatment.  Macam mini bebola yg suam digelek gelek sekitar muka utk lather the serum for anti aging, reduce wrinkles and moisture skincare.

And the finale is, topeng starwars.
Well, LED mask to be exact. This functions to promote the skin collagen growth. Takde rasa apa pon. Mmg suruh kita tido nyenyak for whole 20 minutes!
And done! Lepas tu siap dah. Huda letak sunblock onto my face and i was good to go.
Ohh bonus points, ada surau!
Sangat comfy. Solat zuhur dulu dah alang-alang dlm waktu kann. Ini mmg winner lah.
I totally respect spa like this.

I was very fortunate to have been invited and upon request by my followers, i just had to blog about it coz iG limits my caption.. and boy, i do have plenty to say.. hahaha..

I am blogging the review of #thealphabetduck collections that just launched.

Square shawl larger than kalei square yg dulu, so, if u jenis yg mmg pakai square, please take note on this. I am not a square shawl wearer, thus, i tak beli any of them shawl. Tapi vivy yg kecik molek tu pon pakai tak nampak besar pon.

   

Material licin mcm matte satin. Bukan licin berkilats macam kalei square

Kalei square was RM220, but this is RM300. Overpriced, imho. As it is not even silk, nor satin silk even. But hey, up to your kemampuan lah yer. That's MY personal opinion.
As u can see, the alphabet on shawl is large. Tapi according to one of #theduckgroup iG posts  bila pakai tak nampak sgt alphabet tu. So, whats the point of having it? But then, ikut style pemakai lah.
 

  

Twilly RM120. Ada seketul duck metal charm sewn onto it mcm shawl.

The letters positioned kat hujung twilly so it will be seen clearly. Hence if u are into letters printing, this may attract you.

 

The price is the same as the songket twilly sold before, which i do believe it is overpriced in general because a premium duckscarves currently worth 10 bucks more than twilly.Shouldn't a twilly this small be much lesser? But of course, it is up to u lah kalau mampu and berkenan di hati, takde saper larang pon. Silakan.

  

 #dUCkbag Tote, RM400 is seriously overpriced. All coated canvas. And walaupun description kat website kata the handle is brown leather, it actually failed to mention that that's a PU leather. Plastic.

Since i am into local brands, if u noticed, when compared, this dUCkbag is much more flimsy actually. And exactly more than twice the price of other local brands tote bag, which also not made of leather.

 

The prints is actually mcm water colour effect, thus, not full clean finishing. Macam efek capek capek sket. Uneven shades. Atas bag, atas shawl, twilly, sama jer. Ala-ala beachy mode kot. I don't like. Sebab tak kemas and tak rich colours nya. Again, this is MY opinion. And nope, i tak beli anything.

 

I am a shopaholic and taksub with duckscarves but I splurge on things that i really love. And today, this collections don't scream at me. 

 Sorry D or vivy. 

Jangan kecik hati ngn i yer.

Selamat Hari Guru

Mon 16052016 : Teacher's Day

I can't recall my kindy teachers but i seriously remembered my Darjah 1 ciku, cikgu Siti Fauziah. She must have been the softest most kindest teacher in this galaxy. For a standard one teacher, you can imagine the chaos she had to put up with every single day. I managed to asked her (as i grew older and met her later) why she never taught other grades, she said that's because she wanted to be the first to shape the youngsters. Simple answer. And i salute her and every other standard 1 teachers out there. You definitely have handled the worst dramatic era of a human being, and survived to tell it all.

My most fond memories of course is dedicated to my favourite teacher whilst in standard 6 betik,  puan azizah. May Allah cucuri rahmatnya. She passed away last year. Surprisingly then only i found out she is related to @rizalman71 as i saw his iG post. Anyway, Puan Azizah gave all her love to her students, despite the numerous count of us all haggling after her knowledge for the upsr. She always had this calm and loving way of teaching us all. Unlike Puan Fatimah - which i will never be able to forget too, the teacher that tortured us with so many homeworks and garang mcm singa! Having said that, she did caused us all to score the highest in maths. Still, sebut nama dia pon just gives me shivers!

Then in high school, hmm .. thats odd but i don't seem to have any fond memories of the teachers. Maybe because at that time i was busy focusing on collecting memories with my friends. LoL.

After that, during A-level, it is Sir Anuar. Hah yes. This guy made me believe that there was such joy in Mathematics! He taught us Engineering Maths and gosh he was smiling and chuckling while solving the problems as if it was a joke! Gila ke haperrr?

And another one is Sir Faidz, passionate in optic waves thingamajig. He proved to the sceptical side of me that my final year project on infra red pulse monitoring device was possible and achievable and then it really were developed as medical device! Wow. Just plain wow.

Ok so that covers most of my teachers thats still in my memory box.
So, who do u recall today?

Title of a lifetime

Monday 30112015

It's been 11years.

I have been a mom for 11 years.

Gosh. I feel old. This guy here gave me the job post that changed my entire life.

"Mommy"

Which is made of so many responsibilities and emotions that has no boundaries and no annual leave or breaks! Heck, not even paid salary! It's the other way around, really! Surprisingly a lot of spending caused by this guy.

But for what it's worth, i wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. He is my star, my moon, my reason for living, for surviving, for moving forward, for improving. Drive me nuts but the same time keep me grounded.

Sorry for being so hard on you, sometimes. May u grow to be a khalifah and saviour to me and your ayah, and your siblings, here and thereafter.

Happy 11th birthday my dear. Mommy loves you with every inch of my isi, lemak, dan kulit. Hugs.

If you've been following my instagram, you would know that I have recently been traveling to Zurich and Paris with my sister, last month, September 2015.

I've also gone to umrah in March 2015.

And gone to Japan last December 2014.

Wow, and I wonder whats stopping me from blogging.

Got soooo much to tell.

Guess it's the laziness to be blamed.

Am so guilty lah.

Hence will try to update one by one.

Hopefully, at least I made some effort, today.

But first, It's Mom's birthday last weekend! 11 October 2015.
