Welcome back, greetings to myself.

If you've been following my instagram, you would know that I have recently been traveling to Zurich and Paris with my sister, last month, September 2015.
I've also gone to umrah in March 2015.
And gone to Japan last December 2014.
Wow, and I wonder whats stopping me from blogging.
Got soooo much to tell.
Guess it's the laziness to be blamed.
Am so guilty lah.

Hence will try to update one by one.
Hopefully, at least I made some effort, today.

But first, It's Mom's birthday last weekend! 11 October 2015.
Happy Birthday to my Mother.

Supermom

Mothers are like Google.
We have to know it all.
Happy Mothers Day to all my beautiful readers.
May we transform to be a better mom.
Have higher agility to walk on legos
And emerged gracefully with minimal fiery-dragon trait.
Bwahahaha..

Anyway, I got this for my mom, a pandora bracelet.
Just something small to let her know that she's always there inside my heart.
Everyday, all the time.

She may not get the perfect mom in the whole universe title, but she is perfect to me and my little world.
May Allah bless her always.

P/S: Hubby, in case u're reading this, yeah, I want one too.. thanks for asking! *wink

Dirt, is kids' best friend

No matter how loud you yelled at them, it's just illogical to stop them from doing what they love most when we're back at kampung tok.

No matter rain or shine, nothing can stop them.

Glad that we still have a place called kampung where the kids can be themselves and living life to the fullest.

Oct Photo-A-Day update

Let's continue;
Day 4 "what you read".
Not only that I read, but I designed, print and pasted it onto the door.
I was organising a week long data cleansing task force meeting and hence decided to spice up the room with this.
Pretty neat, huh?
Just like the laundromat, only dedicated in cleaning customer and circuit data prior to upcoming system migration.

Day 5 "shadow" was totally upsetting for me.
Because the day was gloomy and rain pouring down in the evening.
I waited the whole day for a glimpse of a shadow, but to no vail.
So, before I went to bed, and for the sake of continuing my 30-day challenge, I took kermit the frog out by myself.
Hahaha..

For Day 6 "I'm thankful for", I wanted to express my love for my kids.
If this blogger website continues functioning for the next 10 more years, and if my kids end up reading this blog, I want them to know that they are everything to me.
Amin is the one that keeps me sane.
Arif is the naughty one.
Aishah is what keeps us together.

Day 7 " Light"
This is actually sunset light captured by Amin's school.
Yeah, was waiting for to pick him up at 6.30pm.

ok.. to be continued later

Baked with lotsa love, fun and joy

Mommy : Amin, what cake shall we bake for ayah?
Amin : Yucky mud!
Arif : Bloody red!

And after two hours, we got this.
Ta-daaaa!

This all happened last night.
Initially I wanted to bake chocolate cake, but then as I scanned through the cabinet, I'm lacking of chocolate bar, and evaporated milk.
Then I thought of baking apple cream cheese cake, but then, it is so obvious, I am lacked of apples, and cream cheese too.
Yes, Yes, last night was an adhoc decision on baking a cake for hubby's birthday today.
Then I asked Amin, and got the answer.
Lets bake whatever the kids want.
Layer cake!
Or as my grandma said, "kek wa-re-ne"

With only butter, eggs, sugar, flour and colouring, I am confident to let the kids help out.
Yeah, they've done this before so, easy breazy.
I laid out newspaper on the floor for us all to sit properly.
This is to avoid things falling onto the floor, if we end up doing it on the table or counter top.
The kids love to help out because they get to work on their own bowl and put the colouring that they desired.
I gave each one a bowl and split the mixture to two.
Amin wanted to make a "dirt-mud".
While Arif opt for "bloody" dough.
We then scooped each mixture on top of each other, alternately, into the baking pan.
No need to shake the pan, just let it shape up to whatever the gravity likes.
And on to the oven.

Hubby's birthday is toady, but of course, you can't dismiss the freshly baked smell of the cake lingering around the house.
And yes, when it comes to birthdays, the kids are the happiest people of all, even though it's not their birthday.
So, here we are.
Baked with lots of love from the kids and moi.
Happy 34th Birthday to hubby.
Sorry that Aishah was already asleep.
Hence, it's the boys club, as usual.
Best served with hot tea.
Or for the kiddos, cold fresh milk.

May you be blessed with health and wealth.
And hope for more sweet memories to come.

My recent birth experience

It's my 40th day of confinement today, so far so good.
Baby is growing healthily.
Mommy, on the other hand, has yet to get her bikini body back.
(like she ever had any, before.. still, a girl can dream.. haha)
Delivery Room at UMSC

I was due to deliver on the 10th of April 2012.
But as you all know, the baby's head has engaged since 22nd March.
I have been given medical leave by my obstetrician since then, due to the increasing thigh cramps caused by the pressure of the lowered baby's head.
Apart from it transforming me into a penguin, I still drop by at the office now and then, handling several meetings and handing over tasks to my colleagues and staffs.
Aishah after a few hours of birth

So anyway, from 22nd March, the waiting game began.
I was like a time bomb, but without the exact time to blow off and no detonator exist either.
At first it was fun to get to work from home, but after a week, I get bored.
I had several plans in my head on what to do during my leave, but with my condition of walking slower than a turtle and not to mention the pain down under, bed rested seamed to be the most comfortable solution for me.
Big brother Amin was the most excited

After the second week of leave, and still no sign of delivering anytime soon, my obstetrician, Prof Siti, ordered me to walk a lot as it will help to ignite the birthing cue.
Or else, she will induced me herself.
Errkk!
Being the scardy cat that I am,I tried dragging my self (and my mom!) around.. to the Giant supermarket, to the Pasar Tani, to the Ikea etc
Lots of love from Aunt cz22 all the way from Maryland

People said that you should get used to giving birth after your first child, but I would say that's a complete bs, ok!
I'm still feeling scared.
Still feeling anxious.
Still feeling the suspense.
Just like the very first pregnancy.
Starting all over again.
No such thing as highly experienced.  No such thing as dejavu.
But the one thing I can get used to, is the contraction feeling.
This time, I know when I'm about to deliver.
Lots of hugs from Aunt Ani

Around 10pm on the 4th April 2012, I felt the contraction.
And I'm sure of it.
Just like my first and second delivery, I did not experienced the water-broke, neither bleeding.
But instead, I felt like a jolt of current going right up my spine and about to snap my backbone!
Yes, my contraction was at the back of me.. not in front like most women felt.
That night, it was at about an hour apart, and hardly noticeable.
I told hubby, pack your stuffs, I'm gonna deliver tomorrow.
I woke up at 2am, feeling the contraction coming in at 40 minutes apart.
Still bearable, and I continued sleeping, with handphone set as a stop watch clasp in my hand.
But by 5am, I can no longer dozed off, as the contraction started to get stronger coming in at 20 minutes apart.
Hubby looking at how well I was handling myself, took me for granted and dozed off till 8am!
Men!

By 8am, the contraction has reached my "oh-shit-this-is-it" radar.
Got ourselves ready and head out of the house at 9am.
Straight to McD.
Hey, a mommy still needs to eat, ok.
Managed to munch the pancakes while gripping the chair as the contraction hit me every 15 minutes.

Reached the hospital later at 10am.
Straight to the delivery room.
Monitored the contraction, took laughing gas and fell asleep on and off.
Bundle of joy from Aunt Azleen, Aisha, Ibi and Uncle Bear

As time passes, the contraction grew stronger and the laughing gas started to become useless to me.

Hubby been monitoring the contraction % level and at one point I heard him asking me do I feel like pushing now.
Which coincidentally at that particular time, the contraction was excruciating and I did feel like pushing already.
I inhale as much as laughing gas that I can hoping to relief the pain.
After a while I felt someone pulled the gas away from me.
Which by reflex, I grabbed the hand back and pulled the gas towards my nose.
Then I heard Prof Siti's voice "Hoiii, it's time to push, and you still want the gas?!"
Slowly opened my eyes, there she (Prof Siti) was all ready with surgical mask and robe and gloves, with two nurses positioning my legs onto the stand.
"On the next contraction, I want you to push!"
Whhaaatttttt ? Now? Bismillah..

Alhamdulillah, the baby came out safely with three pushes.
Hello cutest

As she was saying hello to the world, I continued inhaling the gas whilst Prof sow back whatever that needed sowing.
Ouch.
And that's the beginning of Aishah as our new family member.

Happy Mommy's Day To All

Woke up this morning to greeting from my grandmother who lives in Kuantan, Pahang.
She was the one who first wished me and my mom Happy Mother's Day.
Total embarrassment to both of us who woke up late today.
Bwahahaha..
But as a colleague once said, grandmas are the ultimate supermoms as they took care of lots of moms through out the years - their daughters and granddaughters.
Well said.

Mom cooked nasi ayam.
Sister went and bought the artificial orchids as present to mom.
And hubby gone to see miki.

Miki who?
Well, it's my favourite cheese cake shop, of course.
Located in front of Basil Restaurant at Bangsar Village 1.

Thanks Nini for recommending this to me!

To my grandma - TokNah, to my mom - Mak, to my readers that are also a mom, and to all the moms in the world, WE ROCK!
May Allah blessed our mommies, us and our children, at all times.

Annual Routine

The Date : 31st March 2012
The Event : Arif's and Mommy's Birthday Celebration
Venue : Home sweet home

Same as last year, BBQ and cakes and puddings flooded the event.
The difference is that this time we get to use the new Tefal ultra compact electric grill.
Hence, no more charcoal and fumes poking the eyeballs of the master-chef.

Million thanks to all our beloved relatives for spending your weekend with us.
It means a lot.
(Missing was the chatty Acik Hajar who's currently studying in London)

Special cake ordered this time, was the Rainbow cake, with M&M's flooded on top.

Highlights of the event, of course, opening the presents.

In split seconds.. Oh how we pity those wrappers..

Although sharing is caring, Amin will get to play all of Arif's presents / toys.
But still, we prepared one especially for him.

Yeayyyy!
