To change or not to change?

This dots blogger template have been my faithful companion since I started blogging in year 2006.
If you're wondering where to get this dots template style, go to tab Design > Edit html > scroll down for the Old Templates > and click the Layout Templates (Launched 2006)
Now there's the Design Template, with numerous styles and fashionable blog template.
Too many choices is not good for me.
I tend to get confused and can't make up my mind.
And in the end, I picked the most simple theme of all.
Went back to the old 2006 templates selection, and picked this instead.
Inspired by Karla's Closet, to be exact.

So, what do you think?

More white, more plain, more room to write.

Or is it, more boring than it already is?

The Royal Balcony Kiss..

..that the entire world has been waiting..
..patiently for..
..was successfully captured by me too !!
Wuhuuu !!

It was very quick and unexpected but done perfectly with grace.

Ohhh, such a sweet couple !
Although it was a lengthy ceremony, I just can't get enough of it.
Definitely gonna wait for reruns.

Hoorayyy Kate !!

Yeayyy!
I made it home just in time for this royal wedding.
And going nuts snapping pictures of the couple on tv!!
So what if my pictures are all blurry?
Yes, I know there will be tons of sharp, crystal clear, fabulous angle shots pictures available on the web.
But, it's just not the same as taking them, with my own bare hands, standing right in front of this flat screen tv, using just my iPhone4.
Haha!

It is as if I'm right there among the fans, carrying the camera, stretching my arms to get a glimpse of the royal couple of the century.
Ohhhh, I am sooo excited !
Can't wait for the Balcony Kiss !!

Are you ready for the ROYAL WEDDING ??

Ohmygosh!
Ohmygosh!
I am superrr excited!
I don't know why, but I just can't wait to watch it on Astro later.
Wuhuuuu!!
You go KATE!!

Due Date

I recently watched this movie, and I absolutely have to tell you that you have got to be the most patient person in the world to be in this situation.
It's like a recurring of unfortunate events happening at the most important week of his entire life.
Starring Robert Downey Jr. and Zach Galifianakis, you're guaranteed to laugh till the very end.
Peter (Robert) needs to get back to his pregnant wife for their first child birth scheduled C-section.
But accidentally got thrown out of the aeroplane together with Ethan (Zach) due to their exaggerated miscommunication before the take off.
Missing his wallet and ID, Peter were forced to accept hitching a ride with Zach (including his dog), and embark on a journey of unexpected mishaps all the way from Atlanta, (into Mexico) to LA.
Apart from the laughs, let me remind you that there's several gross scenes, in case you feel like watching this with the kids, please beware.

Other than that, this movie portrays both the balance concept of life, the good and the bad side of people.
I feel that Ethan's role thought me to always make a positive choice towards all misfortune, and there's always a choice in life.

Love Robert Downey Jr !!

Cleaning toilets? Not a problem !

When you have CLOROX !Wuhuuuu !!
First and foremost, this is not a sponsored post, although it is a blast if I actually get paid for it.. haha..
Anyway, I found this while blog-hopping a few months back and decided to give it a try.
It's been 2 months and I am totally satisfied with these Clorox range.
Clorox, a very well known household cleaning detergent, more specifically for bleaching purposes.
Which now, I realised there's actually more to it.
When I was a kid, cleaning toilets were the most hated chores that my sister and I always quarrelled over to not do it.
And after married, I gave hubby the privileged to clean them.
Ohhh indeed now hubby soooo thankful to me for finding this.
Clorox Automatic Toilet Bowl Cleaner Bleach.
I call this "toilets drops".
It keeps the bowl clean for more than 2 months!
Yes, we do not have to scrub the toilet at all now!
Believe it!
Just drop it in the toilet tank, and it will work its magic instantly.
Honestly, they are a little pricey, and, let me just tell you that upfront so that you will not freak out when you plan to get one of this.
It comes in pack of one.
Just buy one, no need two.. well, one for each toilet that is.
Worth it to put in heavily used toilets - that you uses/ flushes more than 10 times a day.
This is because that these pills were designed to dissolve within 2 months period, despite you flushed the toilet regularly or not.
It comes in blue pills too, but I hate seeing blue streaks in my white bowl, so, I'll recommend the white pills, coz then you can clearly see the sparkling clean effect.
Clorox Clean-Up Bleach
And you may be asking, what about the seat, and lid of the toilet?
That's when this comes in handy.
Its spray form is simply perfect.
Just spray it over and under the seat and lid.
Spray it on the bathroom wall, floor, and sink too.
Don't forget around the water hose and pipe.
Leave it for 15 minutes, and you'll be doing the disco dance!
Clorox Disinfecting Wipes
Do not use this to wipe the baby bum!
Yeah, I have to remind you this because I have no idea there's such thing as wipes rather than for the baby usage.
Let me be frank, this is not a cleaning product per say.
This wipes, I've been using it to kill germs and to add the extra layer of cleaning closure for the pleasant clean smell.
It comes in 3 smell, and only 35 pieces of cloth in a case.
I don't use it much, on certain occasion only.
I used this when Arif recently got the HFMD, which I wiped the toys and door knobs and such, right after he recovered from it, just so that Amin would not get infected.
Apart from that, I also use this after I have mopped the floor.
I simply attached this cloth to the end of the dry-mop, and swipe it around the floor, for the extra kill-the-germ-and-clorox-clean-aroma.

That's my tip in cleaning.
I don't have a spotless home, or a maid to help clean up, so, when it comes to nifty stuffs like this, I just have to share it with you.
Less time spent cleaning, more time for fun with the kids!

Have a great weekend, all !!

First revision for Amin

Amin's gonna sit for his Standard 1 examination this Monday.
And hubby's been doing revision for him since last night.
We're trying our best not to make it horrifying for him.
Instead making studying be fun.
But of course, nothing is easy.
I have to keep Arif occupied, so that hubby can do revision with Amin.
Or else, Arif will be bugging him to play together.
Well, wish us and Amin, best of luck !

Attempting the Colour Block

My officemate, Skin is famous for colour blocking.
I envy her bravery to experiment with colours and daringly wear it to work.
Inspired by her, today I decided to wear yellow with green.

Ok, so I'm cheating a bit by using my handbag as a colour block item.
But at least I tried to colour block, right?
Hehe..

So, it's Ne-Yo

This song has seriously captured my ears for the past few months.
I've heard it a lot on the radio and have been humming to it, but never really bothered to find out who sang it.
Until tonight, as I watched the video on MTV.
Sort of have that similar dance-concept to the late Michael Jackson's The Way You Make Me Feel.. but I'll blog about that next time.
For now, just enjoy the clip, ok!

(ONE IN A MILLION by NE-YO)

Jetsetter
Gogetter
Nothing better.

Call me Mr. been there done that
Top model chick to your every day hood rat
Less than all but more than a few
But I've never met one like you

Been all over the world
Done a little bit of everything
Little bit of everywhere
With a little bit of everyone
All the girls I've been with
Things I've seen it takes much to impress
But sure enough your glow it makes your soul stand out from all the rest, baby.

I could be in love
But I just don't know (don't know, girl)
Baby one thing is for certain
Whatever you do is working
Other girls don't matter
In your presence can't do what you do
There's a million girls around but I don't see no one but you

Chorus :
Girl you're so one in a million
You are
Baby you're the best I ever had
Best I ever had
And I'm certain that
There ain't nothing better
No there ain't nothing better than this

You're not a regular girl
You don't give a damn about the loot
Talking about I can't do for you
But you can do for yourself
Even though that ain't so
Baby cause my dough don't know how to end
But that independent thing I'm with it
All we do is win baby

I could be in love
But I just don't know (don't know, girl)
Baby one thing is for certain
Whatever you do is working
Other girls don't matter

In your presence can't do what you do
There's a million girls around but I don't see no one but you

(repeat chorus x2)

Diamond girl,
Only one in the world,
Just one of a kind,
She mine.

Ooh all that I can think about is what this thing could be
A future baby
Baby you're one of a kind
That means that you're the only one for me
Only one for me

Larger than life, he's MY dad !

I feel like blogging about my dad this time.
Maybe because he never fails to amaze me, as I watched him dissembling and assembling the Toyota Land Cruiser.

As I grow older, I can't deny the fact that I have forgotten about the times I spent with my dad.
I do recall that he was a workaholic and spent day and night working.
Unlike my mother, I hardly saw him at night because he used to come home late from work and I would have been asleep by that time.
But I did see him the next morning because he was the one driving me to school.
And that was when we chattered, updated him about my school happenings, or I just kept quiet and calmly listened to him humming/ singing some English songs which I have no idea what they were at that time.

Yup, those were our moments.

And, that was then.
Now, he has retired and it's fun seeing him around the house, doing amazing things.
He has always been the handy-type.
Just this time, he has really gone overboard, I must say.

The project was : Sound proofing the Land Cruiser.
Yup.. you heard that right.. sound proofing..
It's like sound proofing a room, but in this case, it's to the car.

First thing to do is to remove all the seats, front and back.
A-hah, I didn't know that this was ever possible..

Easy, all you have to do is unscrew the screw.
And then remove all the carpets, just take it off.

Nothing is holding them down, really.
So here's the pile of seats and carpets.
Then, layered the sound-proofing material onto the whole floor of the car.
Dad used this Accumat Hyperflex Damping Material.
Using only his cutter, and tape.
Looks like a mess, but if you see can see clearly, it was super neatly done.

The reason for this sound-proofing is to reduce the noise generated from outside.
Of course, you may think that sounds heard is coming from the windows.
Well, that is because the obvious sounds you heard are the honking.
But if you take a spin in a quiet area, and pay attention to the sounds, it really does coming from the ground.
The tires movement, engines and surroundings sounds bumped the waves to the ground and moves upwards from below.
This is known as refraction of sound.
This is physics, my dear fiend.
Dejavu?
Yup, we learnt this in high school but never really bothered.
Wanna refresh your memories? Click here.

Back to the main story, after layering the so called damping material onto the base of the car, reverse the process by placing back the carpets onto it's original location, bit by bit.
Securing all the nuts and bolts in place.
Don't forget the seats too.
And wallaaaa !!
Done !
All completed by using his own bare hands.
And this can only be done by my handyman !

Say Hello to Fatini !!

Congratulations to Dek Fizah!!
My sister in law has safely delivered her second baby this afternoon, with the same kawaii-look.

We're sooo excited for her!
And rushed Amin to complete his homework by 8pm, so we can go and visit her at the hospital that very night.
As we arrived, expected, Arif got quiet and was sceptical to look at the baby.
Can you spot him hiding behind the curtain?
Look for the red crocs sandal.. ta-daaa!

Took him almost an hour later to willingly snap pics with the new-chic-in-the-clan.

No other activities here except for watching the baby sleep.

And sleep some more..

Yup.. That's what newborns do most of the time.
But as we're about to leave, we were fortunate enough that she pooped and woke up screaming for nappy change!
Now we get to see some action.

Hoorrraaayyyy for the poopy !
Bwahahaha !

I hate headache !!

I was having a major headache yesterday.
And it lasted for almost the whole day!
I woke up in the morning feeling like there's a drum planted in my brains.
Every step that I took, followed by a thud inside the head.
It's like I can't move because the movement creates internal vibe that rocked the head.
I took 2 pills of panadol at around 9am, but had to endure the headache until 4pm !
What took it so long to work??
Demmmiiittt!

If you have any tips for fast headache relief, please share it with me.
I desperately need to know.

And just a note, sorry to all my colleagues/ friends for my lack of focus yesterday.
I can't thank you enough for your understanding and support..
You people are the best! Muahhsss!!

Eating bulldozer for lunch

Only Arif can do this.
Eating the bulldozer for lunch.

Standing all alone in the backyard.
Under the hot sun.

Just to watch the digger at work.

Isn't it great being a kid.
Easily thrilled and happy by the simplest things around.
Unlike us adults. (self referencing)
