Still Oct Photo-A-Day effort

Let's continue.

Day 8 "Angle"
Triangle is my favourite angle.  What's yours?
Hahaha.. just trying to take this baby out for a breather.
It's the Louis Vuitton Watercolour Aquarelle Speedy 30 in White.
I really do not have the courage to handle vachetta leather.. Sigh.. :(

Day 9 "Red"
Or famously known as Pomme D'Amour..
oh sounds soooo romantic isn't it?
My favourite shades of red ever!
From the Louis Vuitton Vernis collection, these are the Sarah Wallet and the Cles Key Pouch.

Day 10 "Emotion"
This is genuinely happy feeling for my baby, as bathing like a princess is her ultimate favourite activity!

Day 11 "Something close up"
And what better way than to capture this Coach Crocodile Embossed Maggie Ink texture for this day theme.

Day 12 "On the table"
Is what I have prepared for my mom!
Breakfast in bed.
Homemade pancake with butter, maple syrup and honey as dipped choices and hot nescafe on the side.
Mom's birthday was on the 11th October.
Of course, we had the celebration later the weekend but this was the least I could do before rushing off to work.

Day 13 "Landscape"
Love this view overlooking from the open area outside the Kuala Lumpur National Mosque.

Day 14 "Makes you laugh"
And drives all the worries away..
Remind me to focus more on spending quality time with my family.

Day 15 "Dinnertime"
Yes, I know, I'm a bad mother..
but what can I say when all that he wanted was a milk shake with whipped cream on top?
Yeah, coincidentally, we do always have whipped cream in the fridge.
And yes, strawberries too.. LOL

Day 16 "Something you wrote"
Seriously, writing is no longer something I do on regular basis.
It's always jotting down notes on laptop or notepad inside the iphone.
But sometimes, scribbling it down does help to have the clear understanding.
Conclusion, I think my handwriting is getting uglier.. hmm..

That's all for now.
Will be back for more!

Say NO to Saggy LV Speedy..

..when you have HippieGal base shaper!
I almost forgot that I actually made a review on the purseforum, a year ago, until a friend recently asked me about my Speedy base shaper.
So I thought maybe I should just post it here in my blog.

The reason for this review was to share information regarding this HippieGal base shaper, made special for Louis Vuitton Speedy handbag.
My thread was in the Louis Vuitton subforum, dedicated for all the LV Speedy lovers/ seekers worldwide.
Just to get that clear because I have no intention to boost or whatsoever, so, if you're feeling annoyed with this, so, beat it!

Having said that, let's get started, shall we.

Here is the Louis Vuitton Monogram Speedy 25, which I recently bought for my mom's birthday.

I am very picky and fussy about bags, and Speedy is no exception.
I initially fallen for Speedy due to the boxy looks of it, and knowing that I inherited this 'picky' genes from my mom, I was sure that she would prefer the same look too.
So, I bought the HippieGal base shaper size 25 before handing over this LV to her.

It successfully gave the structured look to the Speedy, besides adding more interior compartments for better organization.

I have 3 LV Speedy.
(Yeah, you should know by now that from my collection of Coach Sabrina and Coach Poppy Pocket Hobo, that I tend to get the bags design that I like, in multiples)
The Watercolour Aquarelle White 35, Mirage Noir 30 and Sprouse Roses 30.
And I bought both sizes of HippieGal base shaper to suit them all.

Here's the Louis Vuitton Watercolour Aquarelle White Speedy 35, fully loaded with my usual stuffs and without the base shaper inside.
Look at how ugly the uneven sagging.

I stuffed her up with the beige coloured HippieGal base shaper size 35.
If you go to the HippieGal website, you will not see base shaper size 35 for sale.
This is because it is not as in demand as others sizes.
But have no fear, coz Sutanya (the maker) will make it for you immediately, upon request.

Enabling the Speedy 35 to transform to a beautifully shaped swan!

Next, is the Louis Vuitton Stephen Sprouse Roses Speedy 30, fully loaded with my usual stuffs, without the HippieGal base shaper inside.

I choose the red HippieGal base shaper just for the dramatic look.. bwahahha
Oh by the way, the HippieGal base shaper comes in red, black, brown, khaki/ beige and white.

Completely loving the speedy look inside and out!

Now, this comes the tricky part.
Louis Vuitton Mirage Noir 30, as I mentioned before here, this Speedy has a thicker canvas layer compared to other LV Speedy.
Hence, although it is the size 30, the HippieGal base shaper size 30 cannot fit inside it.
Behold, the over-flowing HippieGal.

Since I also have the base shaper size 25, I thought I might give it a squeeze inside the Mirage Noir 30.
It fits, but create an inch loose gap on the interior portion.

No worries here.
Seriously, the Mirage Noir 30 is thick enough, it can really stay in its shape as by herself, without any base shaper.

That's all about HippieGal base shaper.
I am not affiliated to it in any way.
Just doing a community service here..
(Although it'd be great if I got paid too.. bwahahha )

Hope this helps.

Bonding In Pinkness

I just realised that it has been some time since I last talked about my flame for Louis Vuitton.
Well, part of it because I don't carry my LV to work, as much as I carry my Coach, daily.
I only took it out to play on weekends.

Remind me to blog about my 2nd LVoer later, but for now, I just want to share this cute LV accessory.

It took me months to locate this because this colour really was a limited seasonal release (which I just discovered about it) and yeah, again, I'm blaming irene-alia for this!
She blogged about it, and drove me nuts, instantly!
I really must stay away from her blog, but gosh, it's easier said than done :p

Anyway, I managed to get this from Flo in Singapore.
Introducing, the Louis Vuitton Vernis Rose Pop Cles.
It actually is about the same size as the iPhone but unfortunately iPhone can't fit inside it because of the shorter zip opening.
But look at how perfect fit it is to my Sony Z610i
Ok, yeah, so, I know, besides for the handphone, I can use it as a coin purse, card case, thumb-drive keeper, and it can even keep up to 3-standard sized lipstick too.

In case you're wondering, here are some description of it taken from the LV website;
  • Categorised as Small Leather Goods > Card and Key holder
  • Discreetly embossed Monogram Vernis leather, leather lining and golden brass pieces
  • Size 5.1" (L) x 3.5" (H) x 0.8" (W)
  • Zipper closure
  • Louis Vuitton signature plate
  • Pocket on the back to hold cards
  • Golden brass hook to hang keys or to use as a bag charm on Louis Vuitton bags
Which that's exactly what I have in mind..
.. and I'm gonna leave it like this, as I believe it gorgeously compliments the Aquarelle prints, don't cha think?
Richard Prince must be so proud of me.. hehehe..

How did my LV flame ignited?

It started off with this thread on tpf coach subforum about which Coach bag in your collection considered to be most rare.. It was supposed to be a Coach thread, nothing related to LV, until yenanh00 listed her rare collections including the LV Watercolour Aquarelle White Speedy 35!

I was instantly smitten by it!
It was like love at first sight!
My first question was, when the hell did LV made such prints in those colours?
I thought LV only make monogram brown speedy!

So from that 21st July 2009, I started lurking in the LV sub forum and googling about LV collections, until I found out that LV do make limited edition speedies almost every season/ year and this Watercolour Aquarelle was from the Richard Prince collaboration Spring/ Summer 2008. (Just for knowledge sharing, Watercolour Aquarelle prints was released in two colours, white and dark brown)

And that was the beginning of my burning desire for LV.
Thanks to euphoria junction, I managed to get it by December 2009.

Presenting my very 1st Louis Vuitton, Watercolour Aquarelle Speedy 35, dress-up with the Coach Poppy Scribble Flower charm.

Here are the features of the bag, just for your knowledge;
  • Speedy 35 means that the length size is 35cm.  Size 13.8" (L) x 9" (H) x 7.1" (W)
  • LV coated canvas material in Multicolour Monogram Watercolour prints, with double rounded handles and trimmings in natural cowhide leather, best known as vachetta.
  • Zip top closure with matching leather zipper pull.
  • Single interior slip pocket
  • D-ring to clip an accessory or keyfob
  • Leather leaf tab on both sides with one side for LV padlock attachment.
  • It comes complete with an LV lock with 2 keys, and the LV dustbag.

Since the damaged has been done, better just go with the flow and embrace in it.. stay tuned for more LV posts to come! bwahahhaha (that's me trying to do the evil laugh!)

p/s: As a note, LV speedy is meant for handheld, and elbow carry only.  The handle has very small drop length and you must have a stick thin arm to enable it for shoulder carry - it is possible though, believe me, check out picture of Heidi's friend below..
