Carousel at Pavilion KL

There's always something creative at Pavilion KL.
There was once the balloon fest.
Then there was the bubble snow last christmas.
And now, it's the carousel.

Ok, so you may ask what is the big deal about the carousel?
Well, that's precisely it.
Nothing out of the ordinary anyway.
Just a small merry-go-round.
With horses and carriage.
In the middle of the mall.

Enough to satisfy all mommies and kids.
Made us gawk with awe at the lights, the musical sounds, the pretty christmas candy-licious decor surroundings.

Creating a force strong enough to hypnotised us in spending RM5 per child for the carousel ticket.
Nothing is free anymore in this world, hunney!

Arif was scared.
But no big deal really because he was always like this on first time basis.

Amin was excited and actually ran towards the spinning cup booth.

But as usual, it was mommy who went bonkers.
Bwahahaha!

When Boys meet Cars

Since I'm on a long holiday leave now, I have more free times on my hand to keep up with backdated events.
No matter how past they were, I will put it up here on the blog because that is something that I really wanted to do.
Because this blog's main purpose of existence is for ME to keep in memory of things/ events/ happenings in my life, coz I no longer print out photos and make a collage in albums, no longer write in diaries, don't even have a journal either.
Ok, enough on the mumblings, and lets move on.

This was indeed the long awaited-anticipated outing of the century.

Me and hubby decided to bring along Amin's best buds - Adam and Alif, relatives from my mom's side. 

Arif is included too, of course.

We bought the family package entrance that consists of 2 parents + 5 kids = RM30.

I was solely outnumbered by the 5 boys (plus hubby)! 

Oh well, in this case, the whole place was swarming with boys anyways! LOL

I have no idea of cars/ auto mobile in any sense.

But it was indeed an experience and I really enjoyed taking pics of them boys going ga-ga over their toys.

Very impressed with our national car manufacturer, Proton for their revolutionised concept and futuristic take.

They even did a design competition and proud to say that we do have such talented citizens exist.

Initially I thought we'll be having a hard time to handle all four boys age 10, 7, 6 and 2.

But boy, was I wrong!

They are all very VERY well behaved and stuck around together like glue! 

Oh thank god that they get along tremendously, coz I couldn't imagine what would happened if they ran off in separate direction at one time. However would hubby and I be able to split to 4!

The excitement increased the moment we saw, this.

It's the Yellow Canary Camaro similar to the ones that Bumblebee - Transformers transformed to.

At this moment, not only the kids, but even I was stretching me neck up high among the crowds to search for the robot itself.  

Which to our dismay, it's not displayed in the same hall as this Camaro - darrnnn it !!

Ohhh the suspense was killing me!!

And to be honest, at this point of time, none of us were able to focus at any other cars in display because we had our mind, body and soul, set to see Bumblebee.

And every second of the moment was worth the wait.

As we entered the next hall, to find him standing proudly there.

Ohhhhh thank you HASBRO for bringing Bumblebee to us! 

The boys and I were really happy to get upclose with it.

Awesome! Absolutely pure awesome!

We were so hyped about Camaro and Bumblebee, the last attraction which was the Batman's Batmobile, just seem so lame to us.
Especially when it was merely just cardboard set up.. urrgghhh !

After all the walking and gawking and swooning and picture posing, the most logical and best thing to do next was none other than, eat ice cream!
Kudos to Walls for setting up booth in between the halls.

Wonder what they'll be displaying in KLIMS next year.
We're definitely not gonna miss it!

Funland

It's Sunday, 5pm and the kids are bored at home. So, where could we find a nearby fun place to go? Well, at Giant KJ, of course.







Located on 2nd floor of the Giant KJ mall, this indoor playing area is best at keeping the kids all at one spot.



Their favourite is the yellow slide. The ultimate swirl. How I wish I could sneak in a ride!



Apart from the slide, there's the rocking seat.



The best thing of all is the free rides. Just press the button and it moves! No need to put a ringgit in.



And the not so best part was when Arif refused to go home!



Had to drag the screaming kid to the car.

Icy Mall

This is by far the most beautiful centre court design I have ever seen!



Cracked-uneven-stoned path gives the perfect English country look to 1utama.



The red flowers look spectacular with white snowy background concept.



The main décor is an ice skating ring in the centre, surrounded by shop houses, which here we have the Memory Lane, Famous Amos, Loccitane, and Cold Storage selling frozen meat, ice cream and crackers.
Oh wait, no, that is NOT a real ice skating ring.
It's just tiles.
Yup, it does look real though.. hehe..


There's a bridge right in the centre linking both sides, perfect for picture posing especially with the trees and flowers around it!



Definitely flower overload, as even the top part of the stall is filled with red flowers too.







There's only one shop house that has a real second floor, whereby you can climb up the stairs and peek inside. Wow, they must have made the base for this one much stronger than the rest.



Check out the cute windows décor, and also the back of the lot! Looks sooo real !







Let me know which mall do you think has the best centre court design ever.
It'll be great to take the kids out this weekend!

Amin's favourite place on earth

Until this very day, his favourite spot is the Petrosains at KLCC.

Our first visit was last March, and he has been pestering about it ever since, especially when we're window shopping at KLCC, like today.
Hmm..  It's not that we don't want to bring him there anymore, but we need to start off early in the morning if we want to cover the whole place.
No, the place is not as huge as the Planetarium, or the National Zoo, but there's soooooo many things to do here and we hate to have to rush through them all, like during our previous visit, as it closes early, at 5.30pm.

At every corner, at every turn, at every wall, there's an exhibit to see, read, hear, touch and play!
And when I say play, I really mean it.
Check out this kids-size-digger!

It's definitely any Bob-the-Builder fans dream come true.
Absolutely super fun to play with, that even hubby was tempted to try !
Yes, I have pics to proof !

If you think Petrosains is all about science and gadget, well, you're wrong.
Coz there's the Dinosour world in displays too.

And of course, the Malaysian-latest hype, Astronauts !
Check out Amin's face inside the space suit.

I have to congratulate Petrosains for they really understand the kids needs to learn and play.
Not only the exhibits are kids friendly, they even have a dedicated playing area, a plain old indoor corner where kids can take off their shoes, run around playing blocks and slides and tumble up and down the cushioned sofas.

Makes me wanna be a kid again.. sigh..

A fruitful outing

My boys are indeed full of surprises.

Instead of jumping up and down pulling me towards Toys"R"Us, they opt for Kinokuniya.

We spent an hour browsing through books.

Especially those with sounds and pop-ups.

Thank god the kids section ain't that big.

Or else, I might be working out sweat chasing after them.

Nope, in this case, mommy doesn't mind at all with spending $$.
Coz I'm really hoping that they will pick up hubby's trait..
and that is loves reading.
 Coz mommy doesn't !

Balloon Fest

It's like a funfair at Pavilion KL !

The Balloon Art Festival, from 4 - 15 June 2010..

Looked like a World of Balloons !!

Creative balloon displays everywhere !

Presenting, the main event, The Giant Balloon Ride !

No kidding, it indeed was a balloon ride..

..although only involved going up and down..

..and up and down again..

Gosh, I was super duper jealous !!

Really wished that I was between 3 to 10 yrs old and less than 30kg !

Arif was too tired to bother about it.

But did get a little excited seeing Mr. Ultraman..

..and Miss Clown, though.. hehe
